Most weldable materials are used to fabricate a large variety of products up to 10 tonnes single piece weight. Most types of fabrication can be accommodated although our forte is heavy, high-integrity plate fabrications, typically for offshore, mining, steelworks and nuclear industries.
We hold stocks of mild steels - S275 & S355 up to 200mm thick, high yield steels such as RQT and Weldox, boiler plates, wear resistant plate such as Abro and Hardox, and some stainless steels.
We can accept most CAD formats to quickly load parts into our nesting program to achieve the most economical use of material. Our CAD System also enables us to quickly generate the pattern co-ordinates for all common ductwork configurations. This information is then downloaded directly to our CNC Flame or Plasma profile cutters and CNC Press Brake for accurate cutting and bending.
Our CNC Flame Cutter can accommodate plate up to 5000 x 3000 and up to 200mm thick. Our nesting program ensures the most economical use of plate.
The CNC Press Brake can accommodate single or multi-bend components up to 4000mm in length and up to 30mm thick in mild steel.
We have a comprehensive library of approved Weld Procedures and our welders are coded to BSEN 287-1 and/or ASME IX for a variety of materials and joint configurations. We also have a small number of Lloyds approved welding procedures and welder qualifications.
We have an approved NDT operative to PCN Level II in Magnetic Particle Inspection and Dye Penetrant Inspection.
We work closely with companies local to ourselves to provide additional NDT services, stress-relieving, shotblasting and painting.
