Machining
Our Machine Shop specialises in horizontal boring of small and medium size components up to 20 tonnes single piece weight. Dependent on the quantity, size and complexity of the job, we offer horizontal boring on either our conventional manual borers, or on the latest 5-axis, fully contouring CNC control machines.
We are of course a "one-stop shop" for machined fabrications but we are also happy to provide machining services to your free issue materials whether they are fabrications, castings or forgings in single items or small batch quantities.
Our Facilities
Advanced Manufacturing Facilities
Our advanced manufacturing facilities include seven Horizontal Borers working on two shifts, four of which are fitted with Heidenhain CNC Controls, either the well-established 426 or the very latest digital iTNC 530. These machines have a range of table size to accommodate a wide variety of jobs. Table sizes range from 900 x 700 to an impressive 3300 x 2000. We also have lathes that can swing up to 930 diameter x 3000 between centres, milling machines and radial drills.
Production Control
Our Epicor ERP System schedules and monitors all machine, employee and purchasing activities to ensure that products are delivered on time and bottle necks avoided wherever possible.
