Once again J P Forrest & Son had a significant presence at the Subcon Show held at the NEC in Birmingham from 7-9 June 2011.
In October 2010 we took on another apprentice in our Machine Shop in a bid to ensure that the skills of our current machinists are passed on. We also needed to increase manpower in the Machine Shop to cope with increased workloads due to the acquisition in 2009 of a new large capacity horizontal boring machine.

J P Forrest & Son Ltd held an Open Day on 23rd September 2009 following the installation and commissioning of its brand new Alesamonti AT150 5-Axis Horizontal Boring Machine.
J P Forrest & Son Ltd has just completed the installation of a large 5-axis Horizontal Boring machine from Italian manufacturer Alesamonti. The machine, which has X-axis travel of 4000mm, Y-axis travel of 3000mm and a table size of 3000mm x 2000mm, and 18 tonne capacity, is fitted with Heidenhain iTNC 530 5-axis control.
